No Whammies

I had another cystoscopy Feb. 7 and for the first time in a long time it has come back clear, no tumors. I realize it has only been three months but I am very happy. I will have my next scoping May 1 and see if I can hold this good pattern. I will continue to have maintenance BCG treatments at approriate intervals and hopefully I will be able to space out these cystoscopys more than 3 months. All is good; been awhile since I have been on my blog. Hope everyone is doing well and I am going to ask my web designer, heya Buzz, what is going on with the activity stream. LOL... read more

Bladder cancer is stubborn sh*t...

Hello to all again. I was due for my 3 month cystoscopy on November 2 but due to blood showing up in my urine, a cysto and ctscan was ordered sooner. Blood started showing up about 1 1/2 months after the last tumor removal that was done in early August. Blood would only show up visibly after my first potty break after running 3 to 4 miles. Any subsequent trips to the bathroom --nothing showed up.... read more

Hello again!

Good Morning, I had my first, of many to come, cystoscopy after initial BCG treatments last Tuesday, Aug 2. I went to my urologist's, Dr. Lowdowsky, office in Crystal Lake. As my doctor was scopying me out (lol), he remarked to me on how he is so always amazed on the bladder's ability to heal itself. I commented on the extension scar tissue I must have and how my bladder seems to function just fine for me. He said that my bladder has healed itself to the extent scar tissue is minimal. *insert quirked eyebrow here*.... read more
